CANSA Survey

After the results of the Nav Canada Insight Survey were posted in August 2025, it indicated low participation out of operations and low management leadership scores. CANSA has decided to conduct our own survey to get your feedback in those areas as well as how the CANSA membership has been doing since the ratification vote in December 2024. Your input is important to the CANSA Executive as it is a starting point in building trust and engagement at all levels of management.

We will be meeting with Nav Canada in March for our Annual National Union-Management Consultation and would like to bring forward any feedback during this meeting.

The survey will be run from Wednesday February 18, 2026, to Friday March 6 at 17:00 EST using our voting website. By using our voting website, “Simply Voting”, we can ensure that all answers and comments remain completely anonymous. Feel free to speak your mind but please try to be respectful.

PSAC Solidarity

As many of you may have seen around the workplace, our PSAC Brothers and Sisters have been without out a contract for more that 775 days. As we were once in their position and know firsthand the difficulties in bargaining, CANSA has sent a letter of support and solidarity to the members of PSAC.

As we did during our period without a contract, PSAC will be wearing black shirts on Wednesdays. I encourage the members of CANSA to wear their black t-shirts on Wednesdays as a show of support to our Brothers and Sisters in PSAC. We wish them success in bargaining a fair contract with Nav Canada.

In Solidarity,

James Walker

President CANSA/Unifor 1016
