End of Year Wrap Up
As the Holiday Season approaches and I reflect back on what we have accomplished this year, I feel a lot of pride in our membership. We entered into the year ratifying a collective agreement after one of the hardest rounds of bargaining we have ever faced. You all did that with strength, solidarity and most of all professionalism. You supported your bargaining team so that they could do their best work for you. I was proud to be part of that with you. We may be a small Local, but we have shown that if we use our voices together, we can be heard.
I would like to give a special thanks to the Regional Vice Presidents for staying the course to get the membership the best possible deal. Your dedication to your fellow workers in this volunteer role is appreciated. We are fortunate to have all of you working towards a common goal.
Enjoy the holidays with your family and friends. For those of you in an operational role who have to work and provide coverage, thank you for helping to keep the system running safely. Please find the time to relax with family and friends while you can.
I wish you all a safe and Happy Holiday. All the best in 2026.
