EVP/RVP/Trustee Election Call Reminder

CANSA Election Call – Executive Vice President, all Regional Vice Presidents and three (3) Trustees

In accordance with the CANSA Bylaws, I hereby announce the holding of elections to fill the positions of Executive Vice President, all Regional Vice Presidents and three (3) Trustees.

Eligibility to stand and vote: Any CANSA member in good standing, having at least one year’s service in the bargaining unit, may stand for the positions.  However, any CANSA member in good standing, regardless of years of service, may vote for the positions. No member may stand for election for more than one position simultaneously.

Nominations: Open Monday, September 1, 2025, until Friday, September 12, 2025, at 17:00 EDT.  Any eligible member may nominate any other eligible member by email to the Elections Chair at ashley.dhillon@unifor1016.ca. You must send a copy of your nomination email to your nominee.  The nominee must also email the Elections Chair with confirmation of acceptance of their nomination.  NOTE:  It is very important that you check for a reply email from the Elections Chair to acknowledge receipt of your nomination or acceptance emails.  Self-nominations will not be accepted.

Campaign: Once your nomination has been accepted by the Elections Chair and if you wish to campaign, you may submit a poster to be posted on the Unifor1016 website. Please send a copy to the Elections Chair at ashley.dhillon@unifor1016.ca.

Elections: Voting will occur between Monday, September 22, 2025, at 09:00 EDT and Friday, October 3, 2025, at 17:00 EDT.  Elections will be held using the Simply Voting website; members are required to access the website using their personal email address.  A link will be sent to your personal email address shortly before the election.
