CANSA Tri-Annual Convention

The election for delegates for the 2024 CANSA Convention to be held in Gatineau, QC on October 8-9th has been completed. Convention is the governing body that helps decides the rules on how our Local will be run. This is where our Bylaws are reviewed and amended. Thank you to all the members who put their names forward to participate in this event.

In order to prepare for convention, I am putting out a call for Bylaw Amendment Proposals. You can submit a proposal on our website under the suggestions tab or via email to your local Regional Vice President or directly to the Executive Vice President at eric.titus@unifor1016.ca.

Format for Bylaw Amendment Proposals:

• Name and Location of Submitter (to answer questions if there are any)

• Action required – Change, Add or Remove

• Article Number

• Current wording

• Proposed wording

• Rationale for change

The deadline to submit Bylaw Amendment Proposals will be Tuesday September 2, 2024, in order to give time to provide the proposals to the delegates prior to convention.
