Nav Canada Engagement Survey

Nav Canada will be sending out a new Engagement Survey that will be available May 21, 2025, to June 27, 2025. They are doing this to assess the engagement of all Nav Canada employees. I encourage all CANSA members to participate in the survey. This is your opportunity to let your voice be heard and let the company know how you feel. The survey is done by a third party so you will be completely anonymous to the company. Let them know your thoughts on everything that has happened since the last survey and how you feel they are generally managing the company. Without your honest input, senior management will just assume everything is running smoothly and continue as is.

Collective Agreement Update

We are entering into the final stages of publishing the new collective agreement. The wording changes have been agreed upon between CANSA and Nav Canada. The updated collective agreement is out for translation. All that remains once it returns from translation is for both sides to confirm the updated translation is correct.

Once this is completed, the new version of the collective agreement will be published for everyone to access. If you need any specific wording from it before it is published, your local RVP has a draft copy of the English version to refer to.

CANSA Backpay Update

It was confirmed at our National Union-Management Consultation in April that backpay for all eligible CANSA members is on track for the June 4, 2025, pay. As per the January 29, 2025, Nav Canada Now, you will receive a letter that outlines the retro period and amounts paid. If you have any questions about the calculations, contact the HR Employee Centre (HREC) directly at 1-888-774-4732 or by email at HREC-CERH@navcanada.ca. If you can’t get a satisfactory answer from HREC, forward all questions on retro pay to Eric Titus at eric.titus@unifor1016.ca and he will assist you.

In Solidarity,

James Walker

President CANSA/Unifor 1016
