Flexible Work Arrangements

On March 20, 2025, Nav Canada sent out an email to all employees announcing that the Executive Management Committee (EMC) has decided to change Flexible Work Arrangements effective this fall. No details on the return-to-work process were provided to CANSA as they have not been fully developed at this time. The announcement was just to inform you that it was coming so that all employees may adequately prepare for this hybrid return to work.

This shift in flexible work affects a significant number of our members. I understand that you may have a lot of questions on this moving forward. Nav Canada has provided an FAQ on the new flex work process to help with some of your questions. While I do not currently have any answers as Nav Canada is still working out the details, CANSA will gather all your questions and submit them to Nav Canada on your behalf during our annual National Union-Management Consultation (UMC) meeting in April. Forward all questions on Flexible Work Arrangements to Eric Titus at eric.titus@unifor1016.ca and he will consolidate them for us to present to Nav Canada.

In Solidarity,

James Walker

President CANSA/Unifor 1016
