November 2023 Bargaining Update

The CANSA Bargaining Team met with Nav Canada’s representatives for the fifth round of bargaining in Ottawa on November 21-23, 2023.

During this round of bargaining, we were finally able to exchange comprehensive offers with all monetary items important to the bargaining unit put together as one package. Nav Canada submitted their first offer and CANSA was able to reply with their first counteroffer. As we enter the next stage of bargaining, I am hopeful that we will be able to find common ground with Nav Canada and come to an agreement that meets the needs of both sides. As previously stated, all specific details surrounding bargaining proposals and comprehensive offers are confidential until a tentative agreement is reached. We will continue to provide updates throughout the bargaining process on how discussions are progressing.

The next round of bargaining is scheduled for the week of December 11th in Toronto, where we will continue working to get you a collective agreement that meets the needs of all members.
